It calms me down when things seem crazy and chaotic (like right now), encourages me to think about situations outside of my life, and allows me to travel in my head when I can’t travel for real (see: this moment). I would even say that books are a tool for overcoming innate social distance.

Here, I’ve collected 10 books to read during social isolation – thrills, emotional drama, subversive books, and everything in between. This is a fun read.
